It is much easier to prevent burn-out then to treat it. 

       

Most important for preventing burn-out is awareness:

  • recognize the symptoms of burn-out
  • be aware of your physical and mental health. Remember that if you have been tired and worn out for a long time, you may perceive this state as ”normal”
  • do something about factors and situations that are stressful, and make you worn-down and worried
Other preventive actions are:
  • better balance in your rest, recreation, and career to avoid over-consumption of your resources and energy
  • sufficient sleep and recreation
  • regularly physical activity
  • deal with your problems and conflicts in life – worries don’t solve anything
