An object can help you keep focus during meditation. Find an object Choose any object to focus on. This may well be something that inspires you and you feel attached to. The object can be a flower, the flame of a candle, a beautiful painting/picture or a religious figure. Focus on an object Focus on the object while you calm down the mind. Let the thoughts settle down and relax. When you feel distracted, fix your attention back to the object. You are not supposed to stare hard at the object – use it only when the thoughts disturb.
